Our mission

At Dealer Engineering, we started as a car dealership (Wheel Kinetics) in 2002. Wheel Kinetics sold a lot on eBay in the 2000s. In 2010, Wheel Kinetics pivoted to a more traditional brick-and-morter; however, we wanted to continue selling online. We liked putting as much information as possible online and getting fully qualified buyers out.

But none of the existing software companies gave us that ability so we made our own. We were Carvana years before Carvana. We developed a website with full pictures, vehicle videos, and vehicle inspection for the vehicle detail pages. Then we created user accounts for online negotiation, vehicle deposits, payments, documents, additional products, and more.

But to have that level of integration, we needed to create our own DMS too. Our DMS controls inventory, deals, vehicle ads, accounting, media, taxes, tasks, plate logs, and more.

However, over the years, Dennis became tired of the pubic and the grind. But because he loves of cars, dealerships, and software, he spun off Dealer Engineering. Over the coming months we are going to roll our software out so every dealership can be a white labeled Carvana.
